Mars Komagatake IPA Cask Finish 2021 is a Japanese whisky from Hombo Mars, finished in casks that previously held IPA. It brings the traditional Mars whisky profile together with the influence of the beer casks.
The nose has vanilla from the IPA barrels, citrus fruits and crisp herbs. On the palate a sweet malt note follows summer citrus flavours of orange and grapefruit. The finish is clear and sharp, with a bitterness reminiscent of beer.
