This is a peated single cask Japanese single malt from the Mars Komagatake distillery, bottled for La Maison du Whisky at a cask strength of 61.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It was distilled in 2014 and aged for three years in a first-fill bourbon barrel, then bottled in 2017.
The nose is peachy, with ripe peaches, apricots and some unripe white peach. The palate is medium to full-bodied, opening with light honey and moving to a very sweet, spicy middle, with more peach and a smoked honey note at the back. The finish is short to medium, with peach.
