Mars Komagatake – Single Malt Japanese Whisky (70cl, 45%)

Mars Komagatake is a Japanese single malt from the Mars Komagatake distillery, bottled at 45% in a 70cl bottle by Hombo Shuzo. The distillery stands at around 800 metres in Nagano Prefecture, in the Japanese Central Alps. Cool mountain air and soft water filtered through granite shape the whisky, and the cooler climate slows maturation. It follows a clean and rich approach, with fruit to the fore, a creamy texture and a pleasant depth.
