Mars Komagatake – Single Malt Japanese Whisky (70cl, 45%)

Mars Komagatake Single Malt is the first year-round core bottling from the Mars Komagatake Distillery, introduced by Hombo Shuzo in 2025. It joins a range previously known mainly for yearly limited editions. Malts from ex-bourbon, sherry, port and wine casks, and other cask types, are married and bottled at 45%, with no added colour. The nose is fresh apple tea and apricot. The palate is clear and full, with juicy apple and the bright acidity of green apples, a soft, velvety texture, and honey and roasted almonds turning to ripe persimmon, with vanilla, nougat and subtle wood. The finish is long, clean and gentle, with light sweetness, mild spice, fruit and wood.
