Mars Single Cask Komagatake Singapore Exclusive #3679 (70cl, 59%)

A single cask Komagatake from Mars Whisky, the second bottling in a series made for Singapore. This four-year-old malt was distilled in 2018 and bottled in November 2022 from a sherry hogshead, one of 266 bottles, at 59% ABV. The malt is peated to 20ppm. The label was drawn by a Singaporean designer and shows a sparrowhawk, which migrates to Singapore in winter. The colours of both countries' flags appear on it. The nose is soft and deep, like a café latte, with a savoury almond note from the sherry cask. The palate is full-bodied, with a burnt caramel sweetness before light peat spreads. The finish is long, with bitter cocoa and white smoke.
