Mars Single Cask Komagatake Singapore Exclusive #T604 (70cl, 63%)

Mars Single Cask Komagatake Singapore Exclusive #T604 is the third bottling made by Mars Whisky for Singapore. It is a Japanese single cask malt from a bourbon barrel, distilled in 2018 and aged five years, bottled at 63% in a 70cl bottle as one of 187 bottles. The label was drawn by a Singaporean designer. It shows a sparrowhawk, a bird known in Singapore for its winter migration, and the colours of both countries' flags mark the friendship between them. The nose combines candied fruits, guava, honey, baked ham and peat smoke. The palate is savoury, with barbecued meat, dark chocolate, espresso and cigar alongside mango and guava, and a good mouthfeel. The finish is long and evolving.
