Mars Tsunuki Black Dragon is a limited-edition small batch single malt from Japan, made in the volcanic landscape of Kagoshima in the subtropical south. It is bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtration or added colour.
The whisky was matured in a mix of sherry casks, bourbon hogsheads, port casks and red wine casks from the Mars Yamanashi winery.
It is full-bodied and structured, with lively fruit, gentle peat smoke, spicy malt and a pronounced but well-integrated sweetness. Dark fruit, spice and warm oak linger in the finish.
