A fortified wine from the Marsala area of Sicily, with a semi-dry style. Aged for a long time in oak casks, it develops an amber colour. The nose offers candied fruit, toasted hazelnuts, vanilla and tobacco. On the palate it is rich and velvety, with a sweet entry that fades into pleasant savouriness, and notes of chocolate, dried figs and molasses. It suits aged cheese, dried fruit, chocolate desserts or meditation at the end of a meal.
