This is a French blackberry eau de vie from the Massenez distillery, in the Prestige version. It is distilled from carefully selected fruit, with the aim of keeping the natural aromas of the blackberry intact.
The nose is intense and clean, with blackberry, a light floral note and a touch of dark fruit. The attack is lively and direct, with concentrated blackberry and a texture that is vivid but controlled. The finish is long and carries blackberry and dark fruit.
It is best served chilled as a digestif, and it can also go with a dessert or be used in sweet cooking.
