Massenez Quetsche Prestige Eau de Vie (70cl, 46%)

Massenez Quetsche Prestige is an Alsace fruit eau de vie made from the quetsche, an elongated plum with blue-violet skin that is central to the region's food traditions, from tarts to preserves. The fruit is fermented so that its natural sugars become alcohol, then distilled, with the cuts of the distillation chosen to keep the character of the plum. It belongs to the Prestige range from the Massenez distillery, which also includes mirabelle and kirsch. It is bottled at 46% vol. in a 70cl bottle.
