Matsui The Peated is a Japanese single malt from the Kurayoshi Distillery in Tottori. It is made from carefully selected peated malt, matured in white oak casks and bottled at 43% ABV.
The nose is fresh malt and gentle peat smoke with vanilla, citrus and a subtle floral note. On the palate, sweet malt, toasted oak and vanilla sit inside smoky, earthy peat. The finish is long and smoky, with lingering peat, gentle sweetness, oak and a little brine.
