The Chinquapin One is a single malt from Meikle Toir, in a 70cl bottle. It is aged in virgin Chinquapin oak barrels from the northern Ozark region of Missouri, USA. The spirit was produced to 35PPM after a 160-hour fermentation.
The nose brings smouldering oak embers, burnt liquorice, honeycomb, wild heather, ginger, butterscotch and orange peel. The palate has dark chocolate, crème brûlée and toasted almonds, leading to cinnamon brittle toffee.
