Meikle Tòir The Original is a heavily peated 5 year old single malt from GlenAllachie. It is the foundation of the Meikle Tòir range created by Billy Walker.
The whisky was matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels and virgin oak, and is bottled at 50% with natural colour and without chill-filtration.
In the glass it is described as smouldering peat smoke on the nose with vanilla cream and citrus peel. The palate is bold and oily, with peat embers, charred oak and barley sugar, leading to a long, smoky and gently spicy finish.
