Meikle Tòir The Original is a 5-year-old peated Speyside single malt from the GlenAllachie distillery, bottled at 50%. It is the distillery's classic smoky malt, peated to 35 PPM, and it is bottled without chill-filtering or added colour.
It was matured in first-fill bourbon barrels, American virgin oak casks and rye barrels.
The nose brings Christmas spices, burnt honey, roasted coffee beans and hazelnuts, smoked almonds and caramel. The palate has a touch of sweet peat with rich chocolate and heather honey, followed by cinnamon, ginger and smoked sugar.
