Meikle Tòir The Sherry One is a five-year-old peated Speyside single malt from The GlenAllachie Distillery, bottled at 48%. It is made with mainland peat from St. Fergus, giving a phenol level of 35 PPM, and fermented for 160 hours.
The spirit was matured in ex-bourbon American oak barrels, then in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry puncheons. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose brings cedarwood and cigar box with caramel, mocha and orange peel. The palate is dark chocolate, smoked honey and fig syrup, ending with peat smoke.
