MGP – 10 Year Bourbon Chapter One: Out of The Shadows (75cl, 55.5%)

Chapter One: Out of the Shadows is the first bourbon released under MGP's own name, and the inaugural release from its first namesake consumer brand. It is a 10 year old Indiana straight bourbon from the Lawrenceburg distillery, bottled at 55.5% ABV (111 proof) in a 750ml bottle. Master Distiller Ian Stirsman blended barrels made from the LBSV mash bill of 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% malted barley, all aged for ten years in Rickhouse G. The nose brings butterscotch, burnt sugar, dark molasses, ripe cherry and rye spice. The palate offers cherry cola, raspberry, dark chocolate, sassafras, leather, brown sugar and seasoned oak. The finish is long, with cherry cola, sassafras, dark chocolate and persistent rye spice.
