This is a 20 year old Kentucky straight bourbon from Michter's Fort Nelson Distillery in Louisville, in a 75cl bottle. It is the 2022 release, Batch H2515.
The bourbon spent twenty years in new charred American oak, with barrels selected by Master Distiller Pamela Heilmann and Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson. The colour is deep mahogany.
The nose has dark caramel, toasted oak, dried cherry and leather, with hints of dark chocolate and vanilla. The palate brings dried fruit, butterscotch, cigar box and warm spice. The finish is very long, with warm oak and chocolate.
