Michter's Celebration Batch 1 is a sour mash whiskey from Michter's in Louisville, Kentucky, and the first release in the Celebration series. It is blended from stocks aged across multiple decades.
The blend was approved jointly by Master Distiller Dan McKee and Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson, and is released only when the two judge the available stocks ready.
Dried fruit, aged leather, deep oak and warm spice show on the nose. The palate is rich and silky, with caramel, vanilla and dried fruit, and the finish is very long.
