Michter's Sour Mash Whiskey is an American whiskey bottled at 43% ABV. It is rich and spicy, with plenty of cinnamon, butter and nutty tones, and a hint of black pepper to freshen it.
Its character comes from the way lush fruit and spice are balanced against more restrained oak.
The nose offers raisins, currants, apple crumble and baked bread, without being overdone. On the palate come waves of fruit and rich, sweet spice, with dried fruit and Earl Grey tea. The finish keeps dried fruit and spice in good balance.
