Michter's US 1 Small Batch Original Sour Mash is a Kentucky whiskey in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 43%. The Sour Mash is the original recipe of Michter's, a company that dates its history to 1753, when it began by making rye whiskey. Michter's follows what it calls a 'Cost Be Damned' approach to every barrel. This includes air drying the wood for 36 months, toasting the barrels before charring them, a low barrel-entry strength, heat cycling through the cold winters to encourage ageing, and a specific filtration for each whiskey.
