Michter's US-1 Toasted Barrel Finish Sour Mash Kentucky Whiskey (75cl)

Michter's US-1 Toasted Barrel Finish is a Kentucky sour mash whiskey from the Fort Nelson Distillery in Louisville. It begins as Michter's US*1 Sour Mash Whiskey and is then aged further in a second barrel made from wood air-dried for 18 months, toasted but not charred. Master Distiller Dan McKee and Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson chose the toast level of that second barrel. The nose is caramel, vanilla and grain sweetness, deepened by the toasted barrel. The palate adds caramelised sweetness and vanilla, and the finish is longer and more nuanced.
