Midleton Very Rare 2015 Vintage is an Irish whiskey from Midleton Distillery in County Cork, made from pot still and grain whiskey. It was bottled in 2015 at 40% ABV in a 700ml bottle, signed by master distiller Brian Nation and supplied in a natural wood box with a vintage year label.
The Midleton Very Rare series has been released every year since 1984, and each vintage is selected by the master distiller from casks maturing in the Midleton warehouses.
The nose combines orchard fruit, vanilla, toasted oak, green apple and honeysuckle, with a gentle spice. The palate has ripe orchard fruit, caramel, vanilla cream and toasted cereal, with a creamy pot still character. The finish is medium to long, clean and warming, with vanilla, light spice and dried fruit.
