Midleton Very Rare 2020 is an Irish whiskey blended by Master Distiller Brian Nation. It combines single pot still and single grain whiskeys aged between 13 and 35 years, all matured in lightly charred ex-bourbon American oak barrels. It comes in a 750ml bottle.
The nose brings vanilla, honeycomb and toasted oak with floral notes, citrus zest and soft spice. The palate is rich and velvety, with orchard fruit, creamy caramel and roasted nuts, balanced by cinnamon, nutmeg and oak. The finish is long and warming, with vanilla cream, oak spice and lingering sweetness. The colour is golden amber with bright copper hues.
