The 2025 edition of Midleton Very Rare, the Irish vintage series continued by Master Distiller Kevin O'Gorman. It appears in the year of the Midleton Distillery's 200th anniversary.
The whisky was matured in carefully selected, lightly charred ex-bourbon casks of American oak.
The nose offers caramelised apples, toffee and vanilla, with floral hints of lavender and garden mint alongside cinnamon and nutmeg. The palate is silky and full, with honeycomb, juicy fruit, white pepper and a touch of chilli oil. The finish is very long, ending on oak and pot still spice.
