Midleton Very Rare 2025 Vintage Release is an annual Irish whiskey made to celebrate 200 years of Midleton Distillery. It blends single pot still and single grain whiskeys, bringing together six distillate styles for the first time in the collection.
Master Distiller Kevin O'Gorman chose the casks from Midleton's A2 Warehouse, a stone building dating from the 1860s. It is bottled at 40%.
The nose has caramelised apple, toffee fudge, vanilla, garden mint, lavender, cinnamon and nutmeg. The palate shows honeycomb, orchard fruit, citrus, white pepper, a mild chilli oil note, treacle and toffee. The finish is rich, with fruit fading to warm oak and pot still spice.
