Midleton Very Rare Barry Crockett Legacy is an Irish whiskey in a 70cl bottle at 46% abv. It is a tribute to Barry Crockett, Master Distiller Emeritus, who was born in the Distiller's Cottage at Midleton and succeeded his father, Max, as Master Distiller in 1981.
It shows a distinctive pot still complexity and a refined, poised finish, resting on a foundation of American oak.
The nose is vanilla and toasted oak with a touch of lime, green berries, pears and green sweet pepper. On the palate, light pepper leads into fresh citrus, lime and mandarin sweetness, with cinnamon and vanilla. The flavours last well into the finish, fading to clean American oak.
