Midleton – Very Rare Dair Ghaelach Kilranelagh Wood (70cl, 57.1%)

This is a single pot still Irish whiskey from Midleton Very Rare, part of its Dair Ghaelach series of releases matured in barrels made from virgin Irish oak. It comes in a 70cl bottle at cask strength, 114.2 proof (57.1%), and is non-chill filtered. Six Irish oak trees were chosen from the grounds of Kilranelagh Estate for this release. The resulting casks were filled with single pot still whiskeys of fifteen to twenty-eight years old, which had previously matured in American oak barrels.
