Midleton – Very Rare Dair Ghaelach Kilranelagh Wood (70cl, 57.1%)

This is a single pot still Irish whiskey from Midleton Very Rare, one of the Dair Ghaelach releases matured in barrels made from virgin Irish oak. It is bottled at cask strength, 114.2 proof (57.1%), without chill filtering, in a 70cl bottle. The oak came from six trees selected on the Kilranelagh Estate by the Midleton Very Rare team and a forestry specialist. The casks made from them were filled with single pot still whiskeys aged fifteen to twenty-eight years, previously matured in American oak barrels.
