Midleton Very Rare Vintage Release 2024 is an Irish blended whiskey from Midleton Distillery, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It was put together by Master Distiller Kevin O'Gorman and contains added colouring.
The blend draws on single pot still and single grain whiskeys, matured mainly in first-fill casks that previously held American whiskey, with a smaller share of refill oak casks.
The nose offers vanilla, herbal and floral notes with orchard fruit, pot still spice, toffee and heather honey. On the palate come tropical fruit, crème brûlée and toffee apple, with more pot still spice and a touch of toasted wood. The finish is long, with fruit and a pronounced woody character.
