Milk & Honey Elements Red Wine Cask is a single malt from Israel's first whisky distillery, founded in 2012 in Tel Aviv. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was first aged in ex-bourbon casks, then finished in Israeli red wine casks chosen from wineries in the Galilee and Judean Hills. The stills were designed by the late Dr Jim Swan, and maturation takes place in Tel Aviv's hot, humid climate.
The nose is rich with dark fruits, black cherries, ripe plums and sweet malt. The palate is full-bodied, with red berries, wine tannins, spice, vanilla, toasted oak and honey. The finish is long and warming.
