This is Elements Peated, a single malt from Milk & Honey, Israel's first whisky distillery, founded in 2012 in Tel Aviv. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is made partly from peated barley and matured mainly in ex-bourbon casks, with additional maturation in casks that previously held peated Islay whisky. It is not chill filtered, and Tel Aviv's warm climate speeds up maturation.
The nose is gently smoky, with vanilla, honey, light citrus and coastal salinity. The palate balances smoke with sweet malt, caramel, oak spice and Mediterranean herbs, with an oily texture. The finish is medium to long, with smoke, warm spices and delicate sweetness.
