This is an Australian single malt from Morris of Rutherglen in Victoria, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured in French and American oak casks that previously held Australian red wine, then finished in casks that once held Morris aged flor Apera, a sherry-style wine.
The nose brings spun toffee, baked fruit flan, peach compote and fresh sherry-cask aromas. On the palate it is well structured, with subtle spice, toasted nuts and clean oak. The finish is candied lemon with gentle sage and marjoram, and lingering oak.
