A 34 year old Islay blended malt from Murray McDavid, bottled in 2022 at 51.4% in a 70cl bottle. It is the Trilogy I edition.
The whisky is from the 1988 vintage. It was matured in a refill hogshead and then finished in a PX sherry cask.
The nose brings cured meat, coastal embers and fruit. On the palate there is herbal peat, figs and heather honey, and the finish is floral, with sweet oak and baking spices.
