Nikka Black Special (72cl, 42%)

Nikka Black Special is a blended Japanese whisky bottled at 42% in a 72cl bottle, with a stated age of 12. Nikka was founded by Masataka Taketsuru, who went to Scotland to learn whisky production and returned to Japan with his wife Rita. In 1934 he set up his own distilling company in Yoichi, on the northern island of Hokkaido, a place he thought the most similar to Scotland in Japan. He later renamed the company Nikka.
