Nikka Days (70cl, 40%)

Nikka Days is a blended whisky from the Japanese whisky company Nikka, in a 70cl bottle at 40%. It is made from grain whisky and very lightly peated single malt whiskies. The label reads Nikka Whisky rather than Japanese whisky. The blend is soft and easy-drinking, with orchard fruit, vanilla custard and biscuity flavours. The nose brings apples, pears and strawberry liquorice, with perfumed daiginjo sake and white melon, then crushed barley, white chocolate and lemon zest. The palate is creamy and soft, with grapes, apples, toffee and candied lemon. The finish has lemon zest and buttery biscuits, with barley sugar sweetness.
