Nikka From The Barrel Extra Marriage 40th Anniversary Edition (50cl, 51.4%)

A Japanese blended whisky marking the 40th anniversary of Nikka From the Barrel, first released in 1985 in its square bottle. This edition is bottled at 51.4% in a 50cl bottle. It combines Yoichi and Miyagikyo single malts with grain whiskies that are mainly corn-based. The grain whiskies were distilled in Coffey stills imported from Scotland in 1963 for the Nishinomiya site and moved to Miyagikyo in 1999. The marrying period is twice as long as that of the original.
