Nikka Miyagikyo 10 Year Old Japanese Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 45%)

Nikka Miyagikyo 10 Year Old is a Japanese single malt from the Sendai Distillery in Miyagi Prefecture, which Masataka Taketsuru founded in 1969. It is bottled at 45% ABV in a 70cl bottle and returns after a decade-long absence in a new interpretation. The label is textured Japanese washi paper, its colour shifting from pink to deep forest green. The whiskies in it have been aged for at least ten years. The nose is layered, with tropical fruits such as pineapple and mango. On the palate come vanilla, baking spices and cloves, leading to an elegant caramel finish.
