Nikka Miyagikyo 12 Year Old is a single malt from the Miyagikyo distillery, previously called Sendai, bottled at 45% in a 70cl bottle.
It is aged in sherry casks, which add body and complexity, and it has a strong amber colour.
The nose is full and tight, with a touch of roasted coffee and pecan, developing into floral aromas and oriental spices. The palate is rich and sherried, with chocolate and coffee and a hint of saltiness. The finish is long and warm.
