Miyagikyo Single Malt comes from Nikka's Miyagikyo distillery in Japan, in a 70cl bottle at 45% ABV. It is chill-filtered and has added colouring.
The distillery's character is refined, fruity and floral, and maturation here leans on ex-sherry casks to add depth.
The nose is full and rich, with malt, exotic fruit, flowers and oak. The palate is robust and lively, with malt, herbs, cinnamon and chocolate. The finish is long and soft, with rose, oak, toasted nuts, apple and plum.
