Nikka Miyagikyo Single Malt is a Japanese single malt from the Miyagikyo distillery, a young whisky without an age statement, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is old gold in colour.
The nose is floral, moving to blond tobacco, soft spices, leather, beeswax and a touch of salt, with preserved citrus fruit. On the palate, cocoa powder, almonds and cashew nuts lead, then pepper, incense and ripe fruit. The finish is long, with dried grass, sunflower, exotic fruit and gentian.
