Nikka Session Blended Malt Whisky (70cl, 43%)

Nikka Session is a blended malt whisky, the first brand new Nikka in six years. It brings together malts from the Miyagikyo, Yoichi and Ben Nevis distilleries, the last of which Nikka Whisky bought in 1989 and has used in many of its whiskies since. The nose is fruity, with pineapple, apple, blackcurrant, pear and leafy mint. On the palate the fruit dries, giving way to peppercorn and plenty of woody malt. The finish carries dark chocolate malt bitterness and a slight peatiness at the end.
