Nikka Tailored Premium Blended Japanese Whisky (70cl, 43%)

Nikka Tailored is a Japanese blended whisky bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. Its core is malted barley whisky from the Miyagikyo and Yoichi distilleries, joined by grain whisky from a Coffey still. The blend balances sweet fruit against more bitter notes, and Nikka suggests drinking it with dark chocolate. The nose brings nectarine and dried apricot with waxy peel, pithy citrus and a little cocoa. The palate is sweet and buttery, with baked custard tart, orange marmalade and bitter dark chocolate. Roasted coffee bean, fresh apple and vanilla pod linger in the finish.
