Nikka Tailored Premium Japanese Whisky (70cl, 43%)

Nikka Tailored is a Japanese whisky released in 2019 as the successor to Nikka 12 Year Old. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. A firm malt base is softened by a gentle sweetness from Coffey grain whisky. Nikka was founded by Masataka Taketsuru, who travelled alone to Scotland in 1918 to learn how whisky is made. The nose is lively and fruity, with malty aromas of vanilla, caramel, cookies and biscuits. The palate is sweet, and the finish lingers with a spicy bitterness.
