Nikka Taketsuru 17 is a Japanese pure malt, a blend of malts from the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries, aged for 17 years and bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It belongs to the aged range associated with Nikka's founder, Masataka Taketsuru, and has won several awards at the World Whiskies Awards.
The nose shows dark fruits, honey and a hint of smoke, with floral notes. The palate is smooth, with malt sweetness, spices and dried fruits, and undertones of vanilla and oak. The finish is long and warming, with spice and subtle smoke.
