Nikka Taketsuru 21 Year Old is a Japanese pure malt, a blend of malt whiskies from Yoichi and Miyagikyo. It is named after Masataka Taketsuru, regarded as the father of Japanese whisky, and the youngest whisky in it is 21 years old. It is bottled at 43% ABV with natural colour and without chill filtration, and comes in a cedar wooden box. It has been named World's Best Blended Malt Whisky on several occasions. The nose offers toffee, cocoa, espresso beans and maple syrup. The palate brings dried fruits, dark chocolate, bitter orange, gentle smoke and warming oak spice, before a long, smooth finish.
