Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt Blended Malt Japanese Whisky (70cl, 43%)

Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt is a Japanese blended malt whisky, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. This expression was launched in 2020 with a refined formula and a new label design. It balances elegant softness with depth, and has a rich mouthfeel and some smokiness. It opens fresh and fruity, with white fruits, peach and freshly pressed grapes, followed by patisserie notes of amandine, marzipan and biscuit. The palate brings coffee, liquorice, toasted oak, coffee grounds and cigars. The finish starts with liquorice candy, then a refined bitterness gives way to camphor and eucalyptus before fading to malted barley.
