Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt (70cl, 43%)

Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt is a Japanese blended malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 43% ABV. It is named in honour of Masataka Taketsuru, the first Japanese to master whisky-making in Scotland and produce genuine whisky in Japan. He chose Yoichi and Miyagikyo as the sites for two distilleries. The nose shows mature aromas from an important sherry cask. On the palate, a high proportion of Miyagikyo malt gives a fresh, fruity character.
