Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt Year of the Horse Limited Edition (70cl, 43%)

Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt is a blended malt whisky made only from malt whiskies, with no grain whisky, and is named as a tribute to the founding father of Japanese whisky. This is the Year of the Horse limited edition, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle and presented in a gift box. It brings together Nikka's two distilleries: Yoichi, which gives structure and smoke, and Miyagikyo, which adds elegance and fruit. This edition is matured mainly in sherry casks, combining Yoichi sherry casks with Miyagikyo sherry and remade casks. The whisky is lightly peated and subtly saline, with citrus, floral and exotic fruit character.
