Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt Year of the Horse Limited Edition (70cl, 43%)

Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt is a blended malt made only from malt whisky, with no grain whisky, bringing together Nikka's Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries. It is a tribute to Taketsuru, the founding father of Japanese whisky. This Year of the Horse limited edition is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. Yoichi contributes structure and smoke, Miyagikyo elegance and fruit. This edition is mostly sherry cask matured, using Yoichi sherry casks together with Miyagikyo sherry and remade casks. It is lightly peated and subtly saline, with citrus, florals and exotic fruit.
