Okayama – Mizunara Single Cask 2023 Limited Edition (70cl, 60%)

This is a Japanese single cask whisky from Okayama, made from 100% malted barley grown in Okayama Prefecture. The yeast is a proprietary blend of whiskey, beer and sake yeasts. It spent 3 years and 5 months in a single hogshead, which gave 115 individually numbered bottles in this 2023 limited edition. Mizunara, or Japanese oak, is associated with a spicy aroma reminiscent of incense woods such as sandalwood. It is bottled at 60% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
